Sa Cottilla (that means “the small courtyard” in Sardinian dialect) is situated in the centre of the small town of Cabras inside the natural area of Sinis, near the old city of Tharros and the beautiful beaches of Is Aruttas, Mari Ermi, only two kms from the tourist harbour of TORREGRANDE.
In the structure there is a thriving business of room rental/B&B with a rating of 9.3 on booking.com and it is on Guide Routard. It is an old casa campidanese (typical Sardinian architecture), that was recently restored using eco-friendly techniques. The dwelling is laid out around a courtyard, that can be accesed via an ancient door. The property is equipped with solar energy and a heating system of 6 kw/h and a well for the drinking water.
The dwellings are divided into two bodies parallel to each other and to the courtyard. There are 7 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms; all with tv, wi-fi, mini-bar and air conditioning. Four bedrooms have also an independent entrance, a small apartment, a wide living room-kitchen, a covered veranda.
In the first unit you find a bedroom with independent entrance, prestigious finishes and furniture, a queen-size bed, wooden floor, mini-bar, tv and bathroom. From one side of the living room you can take a steel and wood staircase to the upper floor where you find 3 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, queen-size beds, tv, wi-fi, mini-bar, air conditioning and there is also a broom closet with shelving unit. Veranda with an old sink and a fireplace-barbecue. A pellet stove connected to the radiators heats you in the tepid winters. Room with laundry.
In the second unit there are three comfortable bedrooms, delighfully and finely furnished, with independent entrance and en-suite bathroom, tv, wi-fi, mini-bar, air conditioning. Two bedrooms have also a mezzanine that could host a single bed.
The old courtyard is now a garden with an olive tree, equipped with sprinkler system and lawnmower. At the end of the garden you find two tool sheds and an outdoor shower. Furniture included in the price.
