Where the rolling hills of the Monferrato meet the picturesque foothills of the Langhe lies this beautiful stone house.  It is situated high on a hillside overlooking the convergence of two valleys and the town of Santo Stefano Belbo.  Its unique position provides beautiful panoramic views of the lush countryside with vineyards interspersed between wooded ravines as well as the snow covered Alps in the distance.

The original house dates back to the 1790’s but was completely renovated by the current owner in 1978.  The house is constructed with the typical stone from the Langhe found along the Belbo valley.

The house has 3 large bedrooms plus a master bedroom suite.  There are two large full size bathrooms and two half  bathrooms.

This house is approximately 400 sqm  distributed over three levels.  In addition there is a separate building that houses a tractor and other implements to maintain the property.
The property consists of 22,000 sqm and although no grapes are currently grown, there were originally 13,000 sqm dedicated to the production of  “Moscato di Asti DOC”.

The ground level consists of a covered patio, kitchen, dining room, living room, a half bathroom and in the back, which is built into the hillside, a taverna and a wine cellar.  There is a glass enclosed fireplace opening both to the dining room and the living room.  The first floor consists of 3 large bedrooms, one large full bathroom,  one half bathroom, a laundry room, an office and a large garage.  On the third level is the master bedroom suite consisting of a sleeping area, a reading area with enclosed fireplace, a sitting room, a large full bathroom and a covered terrace overlooking the two valleys.

There is a gas fired central heating and hot water system.  City water through an acquaduct system operated by the town and garbage collection provided by the town.  There is an automatic irrigation system as well as a collection system for water run off from the roofs and the driveway for garden use.

The property is a five minute drive from two towns where all shopping needs can be satisfied.  In addition, within a 30 km radius there are three major towns – Alba, Acqui and Asti.  The distance to the Turin Caselle Airport is 110 km, the Genoa airport is 110 km, Milan Malpensa is 170 km, the Nice France airport is 215 km and the drive to the sea is one hour and fifteen minutes.
