A truly gorgious 1400's farmhouse featuring full confort and quiet,convenient to a lot of tourist destinations, perfectly suitable for families with children , 'La Cerqueta di Bagnoregio' and its lovely one hectare fenced garden is situated on a soft hillside near the historic scenic town of Civita di Bagnoregio , one of the most breathtaking places in Italy halfway between Orvieto and Viterbo , worldwide-renowed wine producing area in the heart of Tuscia. La casa was restored the first time in 1974 by the current owner Carlo. Built with basaltina and tufo stone with its foundation laying on a Roman wall (260 d.C) , the house is completely surrounded by green and sits within a working 200 acres farm estate. The central part of the house dates 1400 d.C and gave hospitality to monks of the order of S.Agostino. Etruscan and Longobardi inhabitated this zone. During the restoration some objects dating 500d.C were found.
Easily accessible from the Rome-Orvieto railroad and only a few kms away from the Milan-Orvieto-Rome Highway, 'La Cerqueta di Bagnoregio'' is strategically located to visit the majority of the top central Italian art cities such as Rome, Viterbo, Florence, Siena, Arezzo, Assisi, Perugia, Todi, Spoleto. Tirrenian sea resorts as Tarquinia, Capalbio, Vulci and Tuscania can be reached in just one hour car drive.
The farmhouse is divided in two separated indipendent apartments: one on the ground floor called "Agrifoglio"  and one on the upper floor called "Airone" ,  confortably sleeping up to 14 people in the whole. The swimming-pool area is equipped with dressing room, loggia and  summer kitchen space , ping-pong table, barbecue and bocce set.
A large shed (2mx9m) plus the enclosed garden are included in the sale price. While there are available 8 hectares of arable land and 17 hectares of woods that are not included in the sale price . Their price is 20.000 Euros per hectare for the arable land and 10000 Euros per hectare for the woods.
